Karl Hasse (1883 – 1960) was a German musicologist and composer. Studies at the Leipzig Conservatory were followed in Munich at the Hochschule für Musik und Theater as well as attending lectures in musicology at the University.
Following temporary employment in Heidelberg and Chemnitz, where he was organist and Kantor, in 1910 he was made music director in Osnabrück where he also founded a conservatory. In 1919 he became university music director and professor in Tübingen and then from 1935-1945 was director of the Hochschule für Musik und Tanz in Cologne where he stayed until his retirement.
He composed in several genres including symphonies, suites, concertos, chamber music, cantatas, songs and works for piano and for organ.
