The arrangement of settings from the Baroque for trombone choir is common practice. As a supplement to and expansion of the repertoire, suitable movements from compositions by Heinrich Schütz (1585-1672) have been selected in the present edition and adapted for brass instruments.
The experienced brass-choir director Karl-Heinz Saretzki supervised the selection of instrumental movements from major works and transcriptions of choral works for trombone choir and supplemented the edition with notes on interpretation (German text).
