Easy Solos by Old Masters for Guitar

12 compositions from the 16th and 17th centuries for 1 and 2 Guitars.

This collection offers a selection of solo pieces from old lute and guitar tablatures .  From the abundance of material, those pieces have been selected that are both musically appealing and easy to play.  Special consideration was given to those movements that make use of free-swinging empty bass strings in the accompanying part, thus eliminating difficult fingerings for the left hand.

In guitar lessons, the pieces can also be performed on two guitars, with one partner playing the melody part and the other the accompaniment part.  The detailed names for the left and right hands will be especially helpful to the beginner.  Thus, this collection can be used as a valuable and stimulating addition to any guitar lesson.  It is designed to help the guitarist with an elementary knowledge of classical guitar technique build a musically challenging repertoire.
