Combocom Balkan Music for Flexible Ensemble
Combocom Balkan Music for Flexible Ensemble (Score & Parts)
The Balkans offers a wealth of musical styles and with it ideal material for a collection of pieces for variable scorings. In this publication instrumentals and songs alternate, usually with a melody part, an accompanying part, chords and bass. Hints on how percussion instruments can be used have also been included.
Dynamic dance pieces are followed by lyrical melodies, capricious songs and unusual rhythms; music from the Klezmer and Roma traditions is found throughout. The collection offers small groups who are looking for something special an unusual and varied programme.
