Gerhard Maasz (1906 – 1984) was a German composer and conductor.  His father, the professional violinist Max Maasz, taught him the violin from an early age and he later went on to study music in Hamburg and Leipzig.

After his studies he worked as repetiteur and conductor at various orchestras as well as composing music in many genres.
