Mozart Concerto for Piano No.15 in B-flat major (K.450) (Study Score)

The Piano Concerto in B-flat major K.450 occupies a position of special importance in music history.  It is the first of the concertos which Mozart himself designated as "great" and in which he assigned a thoroughly independent, "emancipated" role to the wind section.  Mozart emphasised the prominence of the winds by letting the six wind instruments, supported only by the basses, present the first theme right at the beginning of the first movement.  This theme then develops into a classic example of "filigree work".
