The Handel Yearbook 2024 contains contributions by researchers from Germany, France, Great Britain and the USA to the International Academic Conference 2023 in Halle (Saale).  It presents a broad spectrum of new research findings on the topic of "The Politics of Opera. Handel's opera academies 1719-1737".

In addition, the Handel Yearbook includes the keynote lecture by Arnold Jacobshagen (Cologne), "Dispute over opera - from Handel to the present day", the laudatory speech by Wolfgang Hirschmann on the winner of the International Handel Research Prize of the Georg Friedrich Handel Society, as well as free contributions, short reports and recommended reading.
