Cantata on the Epiphany, the Feast of The Three Kings from "Der harmonische Gottesdienst"

Telemann had the short solo cantatas from his collection "Der harmonische Gottesdienst" performed in Hamburg churches after the sermon.  Even today, cantors like to turn to these easy-to-perform works in simple settings, which, when they appeared in print in 1725/26, made Telemann one of the most popular cantata composers of his time.
