The ‘Salve Regina’ is one of the Marian antiphons which is sung in the liturgy of the Roman Catholic Church either after vespers or after compline .
 
This volume contains well-known settings of the Latin Salve Regina text.  Some of the original compositions have been arranged and transposed for medium voice and organ.  The settings, mostly from the early 19th to the beginning of the 20th century, are mainly of medium difficulty.  

Volume II (BA9268) contains settings of the other Marian antiphons ( Alma redemptoris Mater, Ave Regina coelorum , Regina coeli and Ave maris stella ).
