Haydn Missa Cellensis (Cecilia Mass) (Hob.XXII:5) (Full Score)

Missa Cellensis in honorem Beatissimae Virginis Mariae Hob.XXII:5 "Cecilia Mass"

The "Cecilia Mass" is a milestone in Haydn's compositional work.  It marks the beginning of a series of great church music works and is the most important completely preserved composition from the years 1750-66.  With its innovative, almost fashionable elements adorning a deliberately conservative ecclesiastical style, it points the Way to Mozart's C minor Mass of 1783.
