Acker Modulationslehre
GERMAN TEXT
Heinz Acker's Theory of Modulation is the first book to fundamentally analyse and present the broad field of modulation. The book is aimed at students and teachers at music academies as well as interested parties who have so far lacked such a standard work on a central topic of music theory and practice.
With over 600 musical examples, numerous exercises and analyses, it is primarily geared towards practical use and is also suitable for self-study. The subject matter, which is often perceived as difficult and confusing, is organised here into a clearly comprehensible, logical overall system. Acker begins with a brief presentation of the theory of functions to address the different theoretical concepts with which students often begin their studies. In around 450 pages, the entire field of modulation is systematically broken down into individual areas.
