Telemann's chamber music enjoys almost the same popularity today as it did back in his lifetime.  One of the reasons for this lies in the variety of instrumental combinations encountered in his compositions.  The present work for three violins and basso continuo masterfully reflects the artistic principles of its time, and its moderate technical demands also permit less proficient musicians to enjoy a delightful ensemble work by this great composer.
