Francl Sonatina for Clarinet in C & Piano

Jaroslav Francl (1906-1990) was a Czech composer and conductor.  He studied at the Prague Conservatory and then between 1930 and 1945 was director at the Kutná Hora Municipal Music School where he taught singing and was choirmaster.  Following various posts in education, he moved to Prague in 1955 where he worked as an inspector of music schools in Central Bohemia.  From 1969 until his retirement in 1974 he was the conductor and artistic director of the Central Bohemian Symphony Orchestra in Poděbrady.
