The tried and tested method for recorders has sold over a million copies with lots of fun drawings by Munich children's book illustrator Gerlinde Keller.  Apart from that, "Spelemann" contains child-friendly instruction for playing the recorder (German and baroque fingering) in the usual form and introduces beginners to notation and rhythm in an easy-to-understand way.  The course is ideal for individual or group instruction inside and outside of school and can also be used successfully for self-study.
