String Quartet No.1 in D minor (Parts)

Although born in Moscow in 1869, where his father, Robert, was a violinist, Hans Pfitzner grew up and spent most of his life in Germany.  He died in 1949 in Salzburg.  He wrote four string quartets in total evenly spaced through his creative career and here we present his first, in D minor, written in 1886 whilst still a teenager.
