Losy Suite No.1 for Guitar

Jan Antonín Losy (1650 - 1721) born in Bohemia into a family of Swiss origins, had a privileged and cultured upbringing.  His love of music came from his lute teacher and after graduating from the University of Prague travelled to several European countries becoming well known and highly regarded as a lutenist.  Such was his reputation that upon his death in 1721 the great German lutenist Sylvius Leopold Weiss paid tribute to by dedicating to his memory the work Tombeau sur la mort de Monseigneur Comte de Logi.
