Geiser Suite for Piano Op.41

Walther Geiser (1897-1993) was a Swiss string player, composer and conductor.  Following his studies of the violin and composition at the Basle Conservatory he spent a brief period in Cologne before studying at the Berlin Academy of Arts where he attended Busoni's masterclasses.

He returned to Basle in 1924 where he taught at the Basle Conservatory and was active as a musician and conductor as well as pursuing his composing career and in 1962 was awarded the composer's prize of the Swiss Musicians' Union.
