Gluck Trio Sonatas for 2 Violins & Basso continuo (Full Score, hardback)
Christoph Willibald Gluck (1714–1787)
Founded by Rudolf Gerber | Continued by Gerhard Croll | Edited by the Academy of Science and Literature, Mainz
For the first time this edition presents the complete works of the great operatic reformer Christoph Willibald Gluck (1714–1787) in a scholarly-critical edition based on modern editorial principles and drawing on all available sources. In this way it not only meets the demands of scholarship, but also offers works which reflect the original intentions of the composer, thus guaranteeing authentic performances.
Within each series the works are arranged in the order in which they were composed. Fragments, variants, initial versions, etc. appear in the appendix to the relevant volume. Each volume also contains a preface (Ger), facsimiles and a critical report (Ger).
