Miroslav Hlaváč (1923 - 2008) was a czech composer. 

Miroslav Hlaváč (1923 - 2008) was a czech composer.  Following secondary school he was a conscripted worker during the second world war and during this time took composition lessons at the Musical Municipal School.  After the war he studied at the College of Civil Engineering and later specialised in bridge building contributing to the reconstruction of his country.

His output was prolific consisting of some 120 works in many genres including orchestra, chamber, opera and ballet as well as electroacoustic music compositions and was one of the first composers in Europe to notate electronic music.
